If you've read my last post on "Would you leave your child at his first party" you would know that Joseph is going to his first school friends party this weekend. It's a girl in his class and she will be turning 6.
Yes, I have a daughter but she is only 16 months old. She is happy with a box and the Sky remote. Buying for boys is easy, Lego, action figures, a football, remote control cars etc are all acceptable presents for little lads.

WHAT THE HELL DO YOU BUY A 6-YEAR-OLD GIRL WHO ISN'T YOURS, FOR HER BIRTHDAY?!

I have no idea what I would buy my own daughter when she turns 6 so how am I supposed to know what to get this child?
I choose the safe option, let the Mrs deal with it.
Have you ever had this panic moment when your child has been invited to a party? What is an acceptable amount of money to spend on this random child that you have hardly ever seen or spoken to?
We think we're going to go with a build a bear teddy, that Joseph can pick it out himself and all kids love teddies right?
